The second man to land on Moon shares travel vouchers from the historic 1969 mission.
It’s a buzzkill to
file your travel expenses after a nice, relaxing vacation. All the
energy you build on your break gets deflated as you explain to the nag
in the accounts department where you had been and why you need to claim
an expense.
It turns out that even Buzz Aldrin,
the second man to set foot on the Moon, moments after Neil Armstrong
did, was not exempt from the pains of filing his travel vouchers at the
end of the historic mission in July 1969.Aldrin shared photos of the travel vouchers in which he had claimed a small fortune – 33 dollars and 31 cents.

Aldrin and his mates also had to sign custom forms declaring the moon rocks and dust they had brought back from the trip.
The photos created a lot of mirth. A commenter Duane Veler wrote: “I
love the almost common place way that “moon” is there. Cape Kennedy...
Moon... Pacific Ocean. Doesn't everybody?”“We always think astronauts have real cool jobs until remembering they also have paperwork to fill up,” said Martin G Mendez.
