Easiest ways to make sandwiches!

Sandwiches can be more than just plain bread & stuffing with a few easy ideas. Use colorful vegetables, sliced cheese, grilled meats, flavorful spreads & varieties of breads to make it an interesting lunch/dinner option or a picnic snack. Grill or toast the bread to enhance the flavors of the bread & make a wholesome meal.

The Classic BLT with Fried Egg
The lunchtime classic BLT (Bacon-Lettuce-Tomato) sandwich can be made into a breakfast option by adding a fried egg. Just crack a egg on a ring mold placed on a non stick pan greased with olive oil & cook the whites through. Sprinkle herbs like chives or parsley on the egg for extra flavor. Slather some garlic mayonnaise on toasted bread, layer tomato slices, lettuce & bacon & place the fried egg, cover with another slice of toasted bread & enjoy!

Healthy Beet & Goat Cheese Sandwich
Why use goat cheese only for salads? This healthy sandwich made with thinly sliced boiled beet, cooked spinach & crumbled goat cheese seasoned with pepper is a healthy delight. Use wheat or multi-grain rolls instead of plain bread. Rustle up a simple side salad for a wholesome meal.

Grilled Chicken & Avocado Sandwich
For a quick gourmet upgrade to your regular grilled chicken sandwich use mashed avocado seasoned with salt & pepper. A healthy option to regular mayonnaise, avocados are tastier too. Just spread avocado mash on lightly toasted bread & place grilled chicken & a few tomato slices. Sprinkle some freshly cracked pepper for a healthy snack option.

Hummus Sandwich
Homemade hummus is easy to make & full of protein due to chickpeas. Make your own hummus with chickpeas, tahini, garlic & lemon juice. Add paprika & cumin for extra flavor. Spread the hummus evenly on bread slices, add grilled meats or vegetables like carrots, roasted bell peppers & tomato slices.

Mozzarella & Tomato Sandwich with Microgreens
Adding microgreens - the toast of the gourmet world to sandwiches is a fabulous way of enjoying their multiple benefits & adding texture to our regular chow. Make a sandwich with some fresh mozzarella cheese, ripe tomato slices & add salami if you prefer. Douse a handful of microgreens (spinach, mustard or arugula) in lemon juice & olive oil, place on top of this open-faced sandwich & enjoy the fresh flavors.
