Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Industries Ltd. is set to throw open the much awaited Jio 4G service in India on Monday.
Reliance Jio SIMs, which was offered only at Reliance Digital, Xpress, Jio stores, will also be made available in close to 2 lakh shops including multi-brand outlets, mobile phone shops and regular currency re-charging outlets across India.
How to enroll for the new Reliance Jio SIM card?
Starting today, consumers can directly head to local Reliance Digital/ Xpress outlets or any other mobile phone shops with Aadhar card, 2 passport size photos, photo copies of valid proof of identity and residential address. Fill the required CAF (Consumer Application Form) document and get the SIM. Follow the procedure as explained by the Reliance Jio agent and get the SIM activated.
Via e-KYC:
Anticipating huge demand, select Reliance authorized shops are also offering Aadhaar based e-KYC (electronic-Know Your Customer) service, an instant verification process. There, customers who plan to purchase a new SIM, just need to submit/verify their Biometrics (iris scan / fingerprints) at the Point of Sale. The details will be instantly matched with the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) database and following the validation, the connection will be activated instantly in the name of the customer.

What are the benefits of 'Free Welcome Offer'?
As part of trial offer, new users are entitled to get unlimited HD Voice (VoLTE), video calling, unlimited SMS (9000) and unlimited high speed data till Dec. 31, 2016.
Furthermore, they can also avail premium Jio applications – My Jio, Jio on Demand, Jio Beats – with unlimited options of latest movies, TV shows and songs across multiple languages till the end of 2017.

Post the trial offer, users can enroll for data tariff plans of their choice.To begin with, Reliance Jio 4G data pack will cost Rs. 50 for 1GB, which translates to 5p/1MB, almost five times less than that of the cost offered by incumbent players. Furthermore, students with valid college/school ID card can avail 25-percent more data.

As of now, close to 25 smartphone brands including Samsung, Asus, LG, Lenovo, Motorola, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Huawei (& Honor), Vivo, Micromax (& YU), Celkon, Karbonn have been listed as the partners of Reliance Jio service.
Though Apple is yet to be named in the list, devices running iOS 8 version and later are eligible to avail the 4G service by downloading MyJio app on the phone and generate the coupon code as mentioned above.
